External doors
We design and manufacture bespoke external doors and internal doors from our joinery workshop in West Wratting in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. We design doors from period style front doors to bi-fold door systems. We manufacture all types of timber door, match up and copy and existing traditional door following a customer’s design.
Our doors are generally manufactured using laminated timber sections for the main components of the door, this will help keep the door as stable as possible. This timber would be a Sapelle or Idigbo hardwood for a painted finish or a solid Oak boarded door.
As well as manufacturing doors, we also make door frames to accompany the doors. We recommend that these doors are ‘pre-hung’ into the frame in our joinery workshop, with all ironmongery fitted as this reduces fitting time on-site and ensures all ironmongery works correctly.
Doors and frames can also be pre-treated with paint or stain prior to fitting and glass units will also be pre-fitted in our joinery workshop.
We offer a comprehensive range of locking systems and ironmongery to suit the doors, from multi-point high security locks with suitable handles, also traditional Mortice or Rim locks with handles or knobs, all complying to current insurance requirements.

Internal doors
Internal doors can range from a cottage style ledged and braced boarded door to grand panel doors with applied bolection moulds. Peacock Joinery matches any existing style and type of door that you need to copy, equally we can follow a design or an idea you may have and you can consult our expert joinery and design service to help you with any queries you may have.
As with the external door construction, at Peacock Joinery we manufacture the panel doors with engineered timber for added stability.
Doors are supplied ready for fitting, base coats of stain or primer can be applied.
Various types of ironmongery can be sourced and supplied to match existing or a new style.
Peacock joinery supplies door linings, surrounds, architraves etc to complement your new doors.
